HAMBURG, N.Y. — Keuka College sophomore Shayla Vetter scored a pair of goals including the equalizer in the 77th minute as the Keuka College Women's Soccer team earned a 2-2 draw at Hilbert College on Thursday.

It was the first two career goals for Vetter. Sam Pelcher made five saves in goal for Keuka College (0-0-1).

Keuka College pulled ahead early in the game on Thursday. Off of a corner kick, the ball was loose in the box. Amongst a host of people at the left post, Shayla Vetter was able to poke the ball in to give Keuka a 1-0 lead. That advantage would last for 11 minutes until Hilbert got a goal on a shot from the corner of the box to the far post. For a duration of the half, Keuka controlled the play, but the Hawks' keeper made eight saves to keep the game tied 1-1 at the half.

Keuka again controlled the play in the second. Hilbert switched keepers at the break, but the result was the same as they made eight saves against Keuka in the second. In total, Keuka outshot Hilbert 16-4 in the second. One of the four, however, would find the back of the goal in the 71st minute to give Hilbert a 2-1 lead. The Wolves responded in the 77th. Parker Lahey raced down the left side and found Vetter open with a cross into the box. Vetter put the ball back to the left post to beat the keeper and tie the game at 2-2. The Hawks quickly tried to take the lead back, but Pelcher made a pair of saves. Keuka had chances in the final minutes but were unable to pull out the victory as they left Hilbert College with a 2-2 draw.
