Box Score ALFRED, N.Y. — The Keuka College Women's Basketball team lost an Empire 8 Conference contest Wednesday evening 62-48 at Alfred University
Keuka College (0-5, 0-5 Empire 8) was led by Meaghan McGwin with 15 points. Sydney Bloom added 10 points and Jenna LaMere finished with a career-high nine rebounds and four blocks.

After trading baskets early Alfred opened up a lead against the Wolves. Keuka would come back, however. Sydney Bloom found Meaghan McGwin for the layup. Amelia Poole then found McGwin on the next possession for a three as the Wolves led 11-10 after one.
The Saxons would regain the lead but Keuka went on a 7-0 run. Bloom started the streak with a three and then a pair of baskets for McGwin gave the Wolves a 24-18 advantage. The hosts had an answer as they closed the half on a 15-3 run to lead 33-27 at the break.
Alfred would widen the margin in the third quarter. The Saxons shot 8-19 in the quarter why the Wolves shot 23% including 0-5 from deep. Alfred outscored Keuka 19-6 in the quarter and lead 52-33 after three.
The Wolves would out-score Alfred 15-10 in the fourth quarter, including closing the game on a 10-2 run, but it wasn't enough as Alfred defeated Keuka College 62-48
