AURORA, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Basketball team trailed by 18 with 17 minutes left in the second half but rallied to tie the game with four minutes remaining, only to fall on the road at Wells College 106-101 in a non-conference game on Wednesday night.

Devin Milton and Nana Oteng led Keuka College (0-4) with 19 points apiece. Zayquan Warren was also in double figures for the Wolves, scoring 11 points and adding a team-high seven rebounds.

Wells College 106 vs. Keuka College 101

The Express scored the first 11 points on Wednesday to stake the early lead. The Wolves started slowly, missing their first eight from the floor. Keuka's first field goal came over three minutes in as a Daniel Obunse layup made it 15-3 in favor of Wells. The Wolves would find the game and go on a run, started by a three by Isaac McIlroy. The Green and Gold would rattle off 11 straight of their own. A three by Noah Hildreth capped the run, bringing the game to 17-14 in favor of Wells. Keuka would cut it to one, but that would be as close as they would get in the half. Wells College closed on a 7-0 run and held Keuka off the board for the final three minutes as the Express led 60-50 at the break.

A pair of threes to open the second extended Wells' lead. Their largest lead of 18 points came following a three with 17:06 left to play. The Wolves responded with six points in the next 48 seconds to cut into the margin. The Green and Gold would continue to chip away at the advantage. The lead was cut to ten with 14 minutes left following a steal and layup by Devin Milton. With six minutes left to play, a Milton free throw tied the game at 89-89. It was the first time the game was tied since the tip. Wells regained the lead but it was drawn level again on a three by Nana Oteng with 4:35 left. After Wells took back the lead again, Milton hit another three to cut the margin to one. The game would go to the final minute with Wells holding a 100-99 lead. Wells got a pair of offensive rebounds and then hit a layup with 35 seconds to widen their lead to three. A three by Keuka was off and Wells got the rebound. The Express made their final free throws as Wells College defeated Keuka College 106-101.

• It was the first time Keuka College has scored 100 points since the Wolves epic four-overtime game against SUNY Poly in 2020
• 101 points are the seventh-most scored away from home for the Wolves and most since Keuka College scored 107 at the Albany College of Pharmacy in 2005
• Devin Milton has had success facing the Express. He hit his average as he has averaged 19 points per game against Wells in three career games
• 19 scored by Milton and Oteng were the most scored by a Keuka College player this season
• Noah Hildreth hit all three three-pointers he attempted to give him a career-best nine points
