ELMIRA, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Volleyball team fell in their season opener to Elmira College in straight sets on Friday night in the Elmira College Invitational.

Keuka College (0-1) was led by Connor Gail with 10 kills. JP Nery added seven kills for the Wolves and freshman Gavin Record recorded four total blocks in his first collegiate match.

Elmira College 3 vs. Keuka College 0 (25-23, 25-8, 25-23)

The two teams played a very tight opening set on Friday night. Keuka College bested Elmira College in hitting percentage in the set, .143 to .138, but it was the Soaring Eagles who pulled it out in the end with a 25-23 set victory. The second was all Elmira as the Soaring Eagles dominated to a 25-8 victory. In the third set, Keuka College had a match-high 16 kills and hit .345. However, Elmira College had 11 kills against just two errors for a .450 hitting percentage. The Soaring Eagles won the third set 25-23, taking the match 3-0.
