Box Score KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – The Keuka College Men's Basketball defeated Wilson College 68-50 on Sunday in a North Eastern Athletic Conference matchup at the JMW Recreation and Athletics Center.
Keuka College (7-11, 4-8 NEAC) will host Wells College in a key NEAC contest on Wednesday night. Tip is scheduled for 6pm.
On Senior Day, Casey Williams recorded a double-double for Keuka with 15 points and 10 rebounds. He was joined in double-figures by Dylan Doupe, Cliff Stevens, and Jelani Fontanez. They had 12, 11, and 10 points respectively.
The two teams struggled to get rolling offensively on Sunday afternoon. They pinged shots back and forth with neither team taking grip of the game early on. A three pointer by Sam Brown gave Keuka a 13-9 lead halfway through the opening half. Keuka threatened to push the margin to double-digits following a jumper by Brown and a layip by Dylan Doupe to make it 22-13 with five minutes left to play. They were able to achieve that margin minutes later as Trevor Powell knocked down a three. Keuka led 33-22 at halftime.
Wilson outscored Keuka 9-2 over the opening four minutes of the second half to make it a four-point game, 35-31, but Keuka responded. Casey Williams sank four straight free throws. Following a Phoenix bucket, Cliff Stevens and Jelani Fontanez made layups to push the lead back out to 10 points, 43-33. That four point margin would be as close as Wilson would make it. Keuka began to slowly widen their lead and went on to defeat Wilson College 68-50.
