Junior Casey Williams (Syracuse, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt) scored 19 points with nine rebounds, but the Keuka College men's basketball team fell to Johns Hopkins 71-55 Sunday evening in the championship of the 15th annual Coaches vs. Cancer Classic at York College in York, Pa.

Williams, who averaged 17.5 points with 12.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in two tournament games, was named to the All-Tournament team.

Senior Trevor Healey (Wethersfield, Conn./Wethersfield) added 14 points with 3 rebounds and 2 assists, and classmate Tyler Hixson (Shortsville, N.Y./Red Jacket) tallied 13 rebounds with three rebounds in the loss.

Junior Vinney Zambito (Elba, N.Y./Batavia Notre Dame) handed out a team-high five assists with four rebounds for Keuka, which shot 39.1 percent 18 for 46) from the floor, while Johns Hopkins (2-0) shot 41.2 percent (21 for 51), including 40.7 percent on three-pointers (11 for 27).

Keuka (1-1) trailed 33-24 heading into halftime, but Healey scored the Wolfpack's first six points of the second half, with his jumper trimming the deficit to 37-30 with 12:56 remaining.

But the Green and Gold never could get the deficit under seven points, and Hopkins clinched the championship with a 16-7 run.

Williams scored nine first-half points, while Healey added seven in the opening half. Keuka led 5-1 after a '3' from Williams and a layup from Healey, but the Blue Jays used a 21-4 spurt to seize a 22-9 lead with 9:46 remaining in the first half.

The lead grew to 27-13, but Healey converted a three-point play to spark a 9-0 run. Senior Jared Wagner (Pittsford, N.Y./McQuaid) and Williams each hit '3s' as the Wolfpack closed within 27-22 with 1:56 left in the first.

But Hopkins outscored Keuka 6-2 to take a nine-point halftime lead.

The Wolfpack travel to Alfred State for a 7 p.m. non-conference clash Wednesday night, before traveling to Hamilton College for a 7 p.m. non-conference clash Saturday evening.
