Box Score The Keuka College men's volleyball team lost a three-setter to Thiel (Pa.) College on Parents' and Senior Night Friday inside the Weed Physical Arts Center.
Junior Devin Lesch (San Diego, CA/El Cajon Valley), the reigning North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week, recorded four kills with three total blocks while freshman Josh Makin (Lethbridge, Alberta/Catholic Central) added four kills and four digs for the Storm (6-16), who finished with a 3-5 home record in 2013.
Keuka fell by scores of 25-20, 25-14 and 25-17.
Sophomore Ryan Kelly (Clifton Springs, NY/Midlakes) added 14 assists, 4 digs and 3 kills, freshman Christopher Mooring (Chesapeake, VA/Hickory) added four digs and three kills and sophomore Manny Fernandez (Tacoma, WA/Spanaway) had 9 digs, 2 kills and 2 blocks for the Green and Gold.
Lesch managed a .300 attack percentage after he had no errors in 12 attempts.
Thiel (17-8) hit .244 as a team, led by 10 kills from John Turner and five kills from Kyle Turkalj.
Before the match senior Travis Simmons (Norwich, NY/Unatego), the Storm's lone senior, was honored for his dedication to the first-year men's volleyball program.
Keuka hits the road and plays Wells College at 3 p.m. Saturday before heading to SUNYIT for the second of two NEAC crossover competitions, April 6.
