ROME, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Golf team finished in a tie for seventh place at the 2025 Empire 8 Fall Championship at Teugega Country Club.
The two-round tournament is a part of a larger four-round competition between the fall and spring for the overall conference championship. The Wolves shot a 339 in the first round and saved four strokes off that for a 335 on Monday. The 674 tied SUNY Poly for seventh in the tournament.
Empire 8 Fall Championship – Par 70, 2 Rounds
Lead Wolf: Graduate student
Cam Hovater led the Wolves in the tournament. He opened the tournament with an 81 on Sunday. Hovater then followed that with an 83 on Monday. He posted a birdie in both rounds. The 164 was a career-low for Hovater in a two-round tournament. He finished in 32nd place.

KC Notes:
- The team score of 674 tied the program record in the Empire 8 Championship. It tied the 2006 team that competed as an invited guest in the championship
- Quinn Hansen shot a career-low 77 in the second round. He took 13 strokes off of his previous low round
- Hansen also set a new personal best for a score in a two-round tournament, as did Nick Knoth
- The championship was the first career two-round tournament for first-year Tino LoPresto
Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves wrapped up the fall portion of their season on Monday. Keuka College will be back in action in April as they have their home invitational as well as the final two rounds of the Empire 8 Championship.
