The first-year runner posted a 32:24.1 in the 8K at the CCOC Championships on Saturday, cutting 1:17 off his previous collegiate best. Melton placed 20th in scoring and led the Wolves for the first time in his young career. The men's cross country team also recorded its best-ever finish at the CCOC Championships, placing fourth with 116 points.
