Akinlana Popoola had a big week for the Wolves as the junior averaged 21 points per game for the Green and Gold. he started the week with 25 points at Elmira College. He then scored 16 against Alfred on Friday and followed that with a game-high 22 points in a victory over Houghton on Saturday. He also supported the offensive attack averaging three assists a game and played well on the defensive end with eight steals over the three games.

On the season, Popoola ranks seventh in the Empire 8 with 15.6 points per game, but the junior upped his play in the Empire 8. He is averaging 17 points per game against conference opponents, fifth-best in the league.
