Women’s Volleyball Sweeps Cazenovia

CAZENOVIA, N.Y. — The Keuka College Women's Volleyball team won their fourth North Eastern Athletic Conference match of the season, defeating Cazenovia College on the road on Wednesday

Keuka College (8-11, 4-1 NEAC) was led by Grace Allen and Lauren Moelbert, each with 12 kills in the win. Alyssa Rex had 18 assists and Emily Cottrell finished with 19 digs for the Wolves.

In a very tight first set, it was Keuka College's efficiency that would be the different. The Wolves had 12 kills and just two errors in the set for a .312 hitting percentage. On the other side of the net, Cazenovia had 11 kills but seven errors. Keuka College would pull out the opening set 26-24.

Keuka College controlled the second set with 10 kills and again, just two errors in the frame. The Green and Gold took a 2-0 lead in the match, winning the second set 25-16.

The Wolves put it away in the third set. Keuka College had 18 kills in the set as the won the third 25-15 to sweep the match 3-0.

  • Keuka set a season-high with a .317 hitting percentage. Their eight errors was the fewest of the season

Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves return to action next week as they host Nazareth College in a non-conference match at the JMW Recretation and Athletics Center on Tuesday. Keuka College will look to avenge a loss to the Golden Flyers at Nazareth earlier this season.
