KEUKA PARK, N.Y.— On Wednesday afternoon, Keuka College released the 2017 schedule for the Women's Volleyball team. The Wolves will look to return to the North Eastern Athletic Conference Tournament after missing out in 2016.
The year will kick off with an opening weekend tournament at the JMW Recreation and Athletics Center. The Wolves will face D'Youville and Hartwick on September 1 and Chatham and Hilbert on September 2 in the Keuka College Invitational.
The Green and Gold will travel north the following weekend to play in the North Country Invitational, hosted by Clarkson University and SUNY Potsdam. Amongst the four matches, they will play will be one against the host Golden Knights of Clarkson. Last season, Clarkson won the Liberty League Tournament and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Keuka College will begin North Eastern Athletic Conference matches on Wednesday, September 13 with a trip to Wells College. The Wolves will play their first home conference match that weekend, hosting SUNY Cobleskill.
The North Eastern Athletic Conference began a new schedule format this year where every team will not play each other. However, the conference slate is a difficult one for Keuka College as the Wolves will play five of the seven tournament teams from last year. None of those matches will be played on Keuka's home court.
The Wolves will play their final home matches of the regular season on Sunday, October 22 in a tri-match against the University of Rochester and SUNY Canton. That will be Parents' and Senior Day for the Green and Gold. Keuka College will honor the families of the 2017 and the graduating class in a pregame ceremony.
The season will conclude on the road for Keuka with a match at SUNY Poly, defending NEAC Regular Season Champion, and tri-matches at Brockport on October 27 and at Houghton on October 28.
