ONEONTA, N.Y. — Hosts Hartwick College scored in the 85th minute to defeated the Keuka College Women's Soccer team 1-0 in the first game of the Erinn K. Brozman Cup.
Keuka College (0-1) got a solid effort in goal from Jessica Pegg. The sophomore keeper made six saves on the night for the Wolves.

Hartwick College opened the game pressing the Wolves, but Keuka College withstood the pressure. The duration of the half would be a battle for possession by both teams. They combined for just five shots in the frame. All four of Hartwick's attempts sailed wide while Keuka's lone shot was on frame, but saved as the game went to halftime tied 0-0.
Play opened up in the second half and Hartwick attempted to take advantage. In total, the Hawks had a 10-4 advantage in shots in the half. In the 85th minute, a cross by Hartwick found its mark in the box. The initial shot was saved by Pegg but the rebound was slotted home as Hartwick took the 1-0 lead. The Wolves would be unable to generate a shot in the final minutes as they lost their season-opening game by the score of 1-0.

Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves wrap up the Erinn K. Brozman Cup on Saturday as they face Utica College in Oneonta. It will be the third time the Wolves faced the Pioneers in the Brozman Cup. The two teams split the previous two meetings with both games going to overtime.
