Women’s Soccer Falls to Lancaster Bible College

KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – The Keuka College Women's Soccer team fell at home to Lancaster Bible College by the score of 1-0.

Keuka College (7-5, 6-3 NEAC) remains at home on Sunday, hosting the defending conference champions, Penn St.-Berks, at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex at 1pm.

Talia Cruz made four saves in goal for Keuka. Emily McGuigan led the Keuka attack with four of the team's five shots in the game.

The first half of the match was played primarily in the middle third of the field with both teams fighting for possession. Both teams gradually built up play for attempts on goal, but each goalie made one save as the game went to halftime scoreless.

Lancaster Bible College increased the pressure in the second half. The Chargers outshot the Wolves 10-4 in the frame and had a pair of corner kicks. The game remained scoreless until the 85th. The Chargers let a deep shot go that sailed into the top of the goal for the 1-0 lead. Lancaster Bible maintained the advantage for the final minutes on their way to the 1-0 victory.
