WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College scored a pair of goals less than two minutes apart to defeat Keuka College 2-0 in a North Eastern Athletic Conference game on Sunday afternoon.
Keuka College (7-4, 6-2 NEAC) returns home on Friday, October 14 as they open Green and Gold Weekend with a home game against Lancaster Bible College at 4pm.
The Wolves held the advantage in both shots, 10-8, and corner kicks, 4-1, against the Wildcats. However, only two of Keuka's shots were on goal on Sunday.
The Green and Gold was able to get some early shots against the Wildcats, but they were all wide of goal. Penn College struck first in the 28th minute off of a penalty kick. 1:23 later, the Wildcats struck again to make it 2-0, a lead they would carry into the halftime break.
Keuka College applied more pressure to Penn's goal in the second half. They outshot the Wildcats 4-1, with a pair of shots on goal. Penn College stood up to the challenge and held Keuka off the scoreboard as the Wildcats defeated the Wolves 2-0.
