KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – The Keuka College Women's Soccer team defeated the College of St. Elizabeth by the score of 15-0 on Saturday afternoon in a North Eastern Athletic Conference match at Jephson Community Athletic Complex.
Keuka College (7-3, 6-1 NEAC) travels to Williamsport, Pa. on Sunday to face Penn College in a conference game.
The 15 goals by Keuka was tied for the second most in school history. Leading the way for the Green and Gold was Jordan Fredell. The senior completed the hat trick on the afternoon with three goals. Amy Sedita, Mckenna Pettit, and Danielle Desimone each added two goals. Desimone finished with a career-high seven points by adding a pair of assists. Also scoring for the Wolves was Sarah Tyler, Marisa deFay, Nicole Browe, Sierra Barker, and Emily McGuigan.
The Wolves got on the board early as Allison Ariola sent a corner kick into the box. The ball found the head of Sarah Tyler, who knocked it past the Eagles keeper for the 1-0 lead. Minutes later, the Green and Gold got on the board again as a cross was volleyed home by Mckenna Pettit. Keuka College continued to use their speed. Emily McGuigan's cross found Nicole Browe on the far post for the 3-0 advantage. Goals by McGuigan, Pettit, Marisa deFay, and Amy Sedita gave Keuka a 7-0 lead halfway through the first. The Wolves added goals by Sedita and Danielle Desimone as well as an own goal to lead 10-0 at the half.
The offense continued for Keuka in the second half. Danielle Desimone assisted on a pair of goals early on. She set up tallies by Sierra Barker and Jordan Fredell. Fredell added a second goal in the half to give the Wolves a 13-0 advantage. Desimone added a goal of her own and Jordan Fredell completed the hat trick as Keuka would go on to defeat St. Elizabeth 15-0.
