Women’s Soccer Falls at SUNY Poly

MARCY, N.Y. - The Keuka College Women's Soccer team fell on the road on Saturday to SUNY Poly by the score of 1-0. 

The Wolves (2-3, 1-1 NEAC) will next take on SUNY Cobleskill on Sunday. It will be the Green and Gold's home opener, kicking off from the Jephson Community Athletic Complex at 1pm. 

Keuka College held a 17-12 advantage in shots with freshman Emily McGuigan leading the way with four shots on goal. Talia Cruz made four saves in goal for the Wolves. 

Keuka College controlled the play in the opening half. The Wolves outshot the Wildcats 9-1 in the first 45 minutes, but were unable to break through as the game went to halftime tied 0-0. 

SUNY Poly increased the pressure in the second half. The Wildcats took a 1-0 lead in the 63rd minute.  The Green and Gold continued to attack, but all shots were turned away as SUNY Poly's keeper made 7 saves in the 1-0 shutout victory over Keuka College.
