Women’s Soccer Falls on the Road

ABINGTON, PA. — The Keuka College Women's Soccer team lost on Saturday evening to Penn St.-Abington by the score of 3-0 in a North Eastern Athletic Conference match.

Abington (10-4, 8-1 NEAC) took the lead early with a goal in the 10th minute. Keuka got a pair of shots in the opening half, with Danielle Desimone having an attempt on net. The shot was saved however. Keuka was outshot18-2 in the opening 45 minutes, but the game went to halftime with the Nittany Lions leading only by one.

The second half saw Penn State expand their lead in a matter of minutes. They found the back of the net in the 63rd and 67th minute to grow the lead to 3-0. Keuka's offensive efforts were limited, as they were held without a shot in the second half. Penn St.-Abington continued onto the 3-0 victory.

Maeve Fletcher made 11 saves in goal for Keuka.

Keuka College has one game remaining on their 2015 regular season schedule. They will return home for a Halloween showdown with Morrisville State. Kickoff with the Mustangs is set for 3pm.
