LANCASTER, PA. – A goal by Lancaster Bible College in the 102nd minute gave the Chargers (3-3. 2-0) a 1-0 victory over Keuka College (1-4-1, 0-1) on Saturday afternoon.
Keuka was only able to get five shots on goal against the Chargers. Kenna Kosinski made nine saves in goal in the losing effort.
Keuka College will square off the defending NEAC Champions, Penn St.-Berks, on Sunday. Kickoff with the Nittany Lions is set for 2pm.
Lancaster Bible College was able to control the run of play for most of the first half. They applied pressure of the Wolfpack goal, but Keuka was up to the task. Kosinski made four saves in the half. Even though the Chargers outshot Keuka and Lancaster Bible had seven corner kicks, the game remained scoreless at half.
Keuka came out fast in the second half. They pressured Lancaster Bible and earned a pair of early corners. Nicole Browe let a shot go, but it caromed off of the crossbar. Overall in the half, Keuka outshot the Chargers and held the advantage in corner kicks, but the game remained scoreless and went to overtime.
After a scoreless 10 minutes in the first overtime period, Kirsten Webster hit a shot to the top right corner of the goal 1:03 into the second overtime period to give Lancaster Bible College the 1-0 victory.
