KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – The Keuka College Women's Lacrosse team won on Sunday afternoon, defeating Medaille College 16-11 in a North Eastern Athletic Conference game at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex.
Senior Morgan Bruno led the offensive attack for Keuka College (4-6, 3-3 NEAC) with a career-high five goals. Bruno also added four assists in the game for nine total points. Sydney Forshay added four goals and Vanessa Tsarevich scored three for Keuka College in the win. Kendall Neuberger tacked on a pair while assisting on two goals as well. Ally Thayer made 11 saves for the Wolves in the win.
Keuka College 16 vs. Medaille College 11
The Wolves got out to hot start scoring the first four goals to take a quick 4-0 lead seven minutes into the game. Following a Mavericks goal, Keuka added two more to lead 6-1. The Wolves remained in control in the half, leading by as many as eight goals in the frame. At halftime, Keuka College led Medaille College 11-4. The Mavericks scored the first two goals of the half. Kendall Neuberger scored on a free position shot to end the two-goal run, the Mavericks would go on another run. Medaille scored five unanswered to draw the Wolves lead to one, 12-11, with eight minutes left to play. Keuka would hold them there. The defense did not allow another goal while the offense scored for straight to secure the 16-11 victory on Saturday.
Senior Leadership: The Class of 2017 for the Keuka College Women's Lacrosse team accounted for 10 of Keuka's 16 goals on Saturday afternoon. Morgan Bruno led the group with five goals. Sydney Forshay was right behind her with four tallies and Maura Gosson added a goal in the win.

Coming up for Keuka College: The Wolves remain at home on Sunday as they host Hilbert College at 1pm. Keuka has a 2-0 record all-time against the Hawks. It will be the first conference meeting between the two schools as Hilbert joined the NEAC this season.
