CAZENOVIA, N.Y. – The Keuka College Women's Lacrosse team lost to Cazenovia College on Sunday 9-6 in a North Eastern Athletic Conference game.

Keuka College got out to a fast start against the Wildcats. Vera Freda scored the opening goal and that was followed by tallies by Abigail Wood and Sydney Forshay as Keuka College built a 3-0 lead against Cazenovia. After nearly 20 minutes scoreless, the Wildcats found the back of the net and scored five times in the final 10 minutes of the half. Keuka added a goal in that span, but Cazenovia led 5-4 at the break. To start the second half, Vera Freda drew the game level with a goal, but Cazenovia scored four unanswered to build a 9-5 advantage. Maura Gosson scored with 11 minutes remaining to make it 9-6, but the Cazenovia defense held from there as the final minutes played out and Cazenovia defeated Keuka College 9-6.
- The Wolves remain ahead in the all-time series 13-4, but Cazenovia has won the last two meetings

- The loss is just the 10th NEAC loss in school history. Playing in their ninth season in the North Eastern Athletic Conference, Keuka College currently has a .846 winning percentage and a 55-10 record
- Sydney Forshay scored her 124th career goal, tying her with Kaycee Maguire '15 for fourth most in a career at Keuka College
Coming up for Keuka College: Keuka College remains on the road next Friday as they travel to face Lancaster Bible College. The Chargers defeated the Wolves last season, but Keuka College holds a 4-1 advantage in the series.
