GANSEVOORT, N.Y. — For the first time since the 2013-14 season, the Keuka College Women's Basketball team had three student-athletes named to the North Eastern Athletic Conference All-Conference Teams.
Lauren Anten has been one of the offensive leaders for Keuka College throughout her four-year career on campus. During this season, she surpassed 1,000 career points and continued to climb the scoring list. She currently sits in fifth on the career scoring list at Keuka College. This year, Anten has set a new career-high in scoring and rebounding, averaging 14.3 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. It is Anten's second all-conference selection after being named to the Third Team last season.
Sam Laranjo earned all-conference honors for the first time in her career. The junior guard ranked seconds in assists and had the best assist to turnover ratio in the NEAC. She has set new personal-bests in both scoring and rebounding with 237 points and 109 rebounds this season. Twice during the year, Laranjo hit the 20-point mark, setting a career-high for a single game. For her career, Laranjo already ranks fourth in assists at Keuka College and sits just five behind third place.
Rounding out the selections for Keuka College was Jariah Johnson. In just her second season with the Wolves, the senior has exploded to lead Keuka College in rebounding while averaging 12.5 points per game. Johnson recorded seven double-doubles during the season. During the Emerson Tipoff Tournament in November, Johnson opened with a career-high 21 points against UMass-Boston. She then backed it up with 20 rebounds and seven blocks against Dean College, both career-highs. With just 37 games played, Johnson has 50 career blocks, ranking seventh on the Keuka College career list.
The Wolves were named North Eastern Athletic Conference Regular Season Champions and will host the NEAC Tournament this weekend. Keuka College will host Gallaudet University in the semi-finals on Saturday at 4pm at the JMW Recreation and Athletics Center.
