GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – Senior Katie Stuart (Tupper Lake, N.Y. / Tupper Lake) was named Second Team All-North Eastern Athletic Conference by the conference's coaches on Thursday.
Stuart led Keuka College to the conference tournament and 14 wins, the most since the 2012-13 season. The guard led the Wolves with 13.5 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.
Across the conference, Stuart ranked in the top 15 in both field goal percentage as well as free throw percentage. The senior also contributed on the defensive end with 23 blocks on the season, 13th most in the North Eastern Athletic Conference.
The senior had a pair of standout performances this season. She scored 34 points and added 16 rebounds in a victory over Cazenovia on February 5. That sparked a five-game winning streak that led Keuka College to the postseason. She then capped her career with a 23 point, 18 rebound double-double on Senior Day and her final home game at Keuka College against St. Elizabeth.
Katie Stuart will leave Keuka College with her name all over the record books. In February, she became the 13th player in program history to score 1,000 career points. She finished her career with 1,063 points, eighth most in school history. Stuart ranks second in blocks with 62 in her career and totaled eight double-doubles, fourth most since the 2004-05 season. She also ranks on in the top 10 in career field goal percentage, three-pointers made, free throw percentage, and career free throws made. Katie Stuart also ranks in the top 10 in numerous season and game records.
