KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – The Keuka College Women's Basketball fell to Wells College on Wednesday at the JMW Recreation and Athletics Center by the score of 70-47.

Keuka College (5-14, 4-9 NEAC) will spend this weekend on the road for a pair of North Eastern Athletic Conference games. Keuka will be at the College of St. Elizabeth on Saturday and at Penn College on Sunday.

Abby Hess went a perfect 6-6 from the field to lead Keuka with 12 points. It was the first time that a player went perfect from the field with at least six attempts since Abby Brewer did it, going 7-7, during the 2007-08 season. Lauren Anten was second on the team with nine points and led Keuka with eight rebounds.

The game started in a back and forth fashion with Keuka matching every shot Wells made. A three for Wells, a three for Mackenzie Cole. A layup for Wells, a layup by Abby Hess. Another basket for the Express and another layup for Hess. Wells would score the final five points of the quarter, however and hold a 12-7 lead after one.

Wells scored the opening five points of the second to grow a 10-point lead and held Keuka off the scoreboard for nearly four minutes. Courtney Boyea stopped the run with a basket. Wells kept their foot on the gas and pushed the lead back out. They led 30-16 at the half.

Keuka was able to get three pointers by Katie Stuart and Lauren Anten in the third quarter, but Wells was still able to grow their lead and led 48-30 going into the final 10 minutes.

Wells quickly pushed their lead out to 20 points and held it there for most of the quarter. It was Keuka's best shooting quarter, going 46% from the field and knocking down three three-pointers, but it was not enough as they would fall to Wells College 70-47.
