CULVER CITY, Calif.— Jessie Hammers was named Second Team Offensive All-American by Fastpitch News on Tuesday.
The freshman amassed 52 hits on the season, breaking the single-season record at Keuka College, previously held by Sara James. Hammers finished the 2017 season with a .536 batting average, setting a new Keuka College record and ranking as the fourth highest batting average in the nation. She also led the conference in on-base percentage and stolen bases.
Hammers was earlier selected as Second Team All-Region by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. The North Eastern Athletic Conference coaches named Jessie Hammers as the North Division Player and Rookie of the Year.
