GANSEVOORT, N.Y.— Keuka College Softball's senior first baseman Alysha Bachman was named the North Eastern Athletic Conference's Softball Player of the Week on Monday.
The Wolves went a perfect 6-0 this past week, averaging over 10 runs a game. Alysha Bachman hit .692 over that span, totaling nine hits with a double and two triples. She hit safely in five of the six games. The one game she didn't record a hit, she also did not have an official at bat but scored three runs for the Wolves. Bachman scored eight runs and drove in eight as well. She also recorded the first two stolen bases of her career.
Alysha Bachman ranks second on Keuka College and sixth in the North Eastern Athletic Conference with a .438 batting average this season. She is also tied for second on the team with 14 hits.
During this past week as well, Bachman passed Sarah Fredricks '11 for the Keuka College career lead in putouts by a softball player. She now has 720 putouts for her career.
The Wolves take to the road on Wednesday for a non-conference doubleheader with SUNY Geneseo. Keuka College then returns home for a pair of conference doubleheaders. The Wolves will host Morrisville State on Friday afternoon and Cazenovia College on Saturday.
