Keuka College Defeats Penn St.-Berks in Continuation

KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – The Keuka College Softball team defeated Penn St.-Berks on Sunday morning by the score of 3-2 in 8 innings at the 2016 North Eastern Athletic Conference Tournament.

The game was a continuation of last night's that was suspended due to darkness after being tied 2-2 after seven innings.

Keuka College (18-12) advances to the North Eastern Athletic Conference Championship Game later this afternoon.

Pitcher Brianna Bush remained in the game after starting last night for Keuka. She got a strikeout then a pair of groundouts to strand the tie-breaker runner at second base and keep the game tied.

In the bottom of the eighth, Mackenzie Cole began the inning at second base. The first pitch got away from Berks and Cole moved to third base. Mickenzie Palmer hit a sacrifice fly to centerfield to score Cole, giving Keuka College the 3-2 victory.
