LATHAM, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Volleyball team swept the North Eastern Athletics Conference player of the week honors as Brad McKnight was named NEAC Player of the Week and Seth Welker was named NEAC Defensive Player of the Week.
McKnight helped lead the Wolves to a 2-1 record on the week on the offensive end. The sophomore totaled 42 kills on the week, averaging three kills per set. The weekend was capped by a career-high by McKnight. He recorded 21 kills in a four-set victory over Sage Colleges. It tied for the most ever kills in a four-set match in program history.
McKnight also reached a career milestone as the sophomore increased his career total to 355 kills, moving into sixth in the Keuka College record book.
On the other end of the court, libero Seth Welker anchored the Keuka College defense. Welker began the weekend with a career-high 19 digs in a five-set victory over Randolph-Macon College. He then backed that with 15 digs against Hiram. In total, Welker had 39 digs on the weekend, averaging 2.79 a set.
On the season, Welker ranks second in both total digs and digs per set in the North Eastern Athletic Conference.
The Keuka College Men's Volleyball team will return to conference play with a pair of matches on the road this weekend. The Wolves will open play at Wilson College on Friday. Keuka will then face nationally-ranked Lancaster Bible College on Saturday in Pennsylvania.
