PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The Keuka College Men's Volleyball team lost in straight sets on Thursday at Nazareth College in a non-conference match.
Keuka College 0 (20, 14, 22) at Nazareth College 3 (25, 25, 25)
The two teams opened evenly as the match was tied at 6-6 early. Nazareth started to grow a lead midway through the first set. The Wolves were able to get it back to three points, 22-19, following a kill by JP Nery. However the Golden Flyers closed out the first set 25-20. Nazareth College controlled the second set. They had 13 kills to Keuka's six on their way to the 25-14 victory, taking a 2-0 lead in the match. The Wolves continued to fight, but it was not enough as Nazareth took the final set 25-22, winning the match 3-0.
Clean Living: As a team, Keuka College had a season-low 12 attacking errors on Thursday. It was the fewest errors in a match since March 2016.
- Keuka College is now 0-3 all-time against Nazareth College
- Connor Gail now has 238 kills this season, passing Connor Hinman's total of 237 in 2014 for third most in a season in school history
- Hinman's 2013 total was also passed as Jared Kucko hit the 200 kill plateau, moving into sixth place
Coming up for Keuka College: This Sunday will be the final game of the season for the Keuka College Men's Volleyball team. The Green and Gold will host Bard College at the JMW Recreation and Athletics Center. Prior to the game Keuka College will honor the families of the 2017 Men's Volleyball team as well as the Class of 2017 on Parents' and Senior Day.
