CRESSON, Pa. – The Keuka College Men's Volleyball team lost in straight sets to Wilson College on Saturday at a North Eastern Athletic Conference Crossover hosted by Penn St.-Altoona.
Keuka College drops below .500 with a 7-8 overall record. The Wolves are 3-6 within the North Eastern Athletic Conference.
Keuka College 0 (16, 19, 19) vs. Wilson College 3 (25, 25, 25)
The Phoenix came out on fire on Saturday. They amassed 14 kills against just one error in the opening set. Their .520 hitting percentage was too much for the Wolves to overcome as Wilson took the first set 25-16. Keuka was able to produce more offense in the second set, but once again, Wilson College had 14 kills in the frame. The Phoenix took a 2-0 match lead after winning the second set 25-19. The attacking numbers evened out in the third set, but Wilson College was able to pull out the 25-19 third set victory, sweeping the match 3-0.
- Saturday was the first loss in program history to Wilson College. The Wolves are now 3-1 all-time against the Phoenix.
- The loss snaps a five match winning streak for Keuka College
- Keuka College has lost their last five matches away from the JMW Recreation and Athletics Center. Overall, the Wolves are 2-6 in road and neutral contests this season.
Coming up for Keuka College: The Wolves will finish up the North Eastern Athletic Conference Crossover on Sunday with a pair of games. Keuka College will open the day with a match against Lancaster Bible College and finish the crossover with a match against Penn St.-Altoona. Both the Chargers and the Nittany Lions beat Keuka College earlier in the season.
