Hinman Gets 1000th Kill as Men’s Volleyball Sweeps

ALTOONA, PA – The Keuka College Men's Volleyball team defeated both Wilson College and Lancaster Bible College on Saturday in a pair of North Eastern Athletic Conference matches.

Keuka College (13-9, 8-6 NEAC) will return to the JMW Recreation and Athletics Center for their final home game of the season this Wednesday as they host Wells College at 7pm.

Senior Connor Hinman had nine kills in the opening match against the Phoenix and 10 in the second match against the Chargers. Hinman now sits at 1,006 career kills. He is the first player in program history to reach the 1,000 kill plateau. Hinman ranks in the top 10 nationally for total kills among active players.

Keuka College was able to control the match against Wilson. Eight different players recorded kills for Keuka as they defeated the Phoenix 25-21, 25-19, 25-19.

Hinman's nine kills led the Green and Gold. Connor Gail added seven kills and Tom Campbell had six. Cooper Lyon had a team-high 16 digs for Keuka.

Keuka worked themselves into trouble in the opening set against Lancaster Bible. They totaled 10 errors in the set and hit .054, but they were able to pull it out 25-23. They cleaned up their play in the second with 13 kills and just three errors as Keuka defeated the Chargers 25-17. The Green and Gold carried that momentum into the third and translated it into a 25-21 third set victory, taking the match 3-0.

Connor Hinman and Connor Gail once again powered the Keuka attack. Both finished with 10 kills against the Chargers. Chris Corcoran led Keuka with 21 assists in the victory.
