Men’s Volleyball Defeats Purchase College

KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – The Keuka College Men's Volleyball won their final game of the Keuka Restaurant Invitational, defeating Purchase College 3-1 on Sunday at the JMW Recreation and Athletics Center.

Keuka College (3-1) will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to nationally-ranked Nazareth College for a 7pm match.

Keuka used a balanced attack that saw nine different players record kills. Tom Campbell led the way with nine kills. Connor Hinman added eight in the victory. Chris Corcoran finished with a match-high 15 assists.

The matched started slow for both teams as they traded points. Keuka took advantage of eight Panther errors and won the first set 25-16. Purchase responded with 12 kills in the second. Combined with eight errors by Keuka, the Panthers won the second set 25-18 to tie the match at 1-1. The Green and Gold took control from here on out. They had 16 kills in the third and remained in control of the fourth as the won both sets by the score of 25-17, taking the match 3-1.
