Junior Connor Hinman (Lethbridge, Alberta/Catholic Central) and freshman Aaron Brill (Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif./Palos Verdes) each recorded double-digit kill totals, but the Keuka College men's volleyball team saw its seven-match win streak snapped Friday night vs. Wells College.
The Wolfpack (9-3, 2-1 NEAC) dropped the first two sets by scores of 25-23 and 25-21. Keuka rebounded to win the third, 25-16, but suffered its first North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) loss after the Express (6-8, 3-2 NEAC)
Hinman, the reigning NEAC Player of the Year, recorded a double-double with 14 digs and 13 kills, and Brill added 11 kills with six digs in the loss.
Hinman hit .286 after recording three errors in 35 attacks, while Brill hit .229 with three errors in 35 attacks.
Junior Josh Makin (Lethbridge, Alberta/Catholic Central) added seven kills with two digs and hit .286 with two errors in 18 attacks.
Wells was led by John Farruggia (10 kills, eight digs) and J.J. Podczasy (9 kills, 5 digs, 5 blocks).
The Green and Gold travel to defending NEAC champion SUNY Polytechnic for a noon match Saturday.
