Men’s Volleyball Ends Season With Loss to Lancaster Bible

The Keuka College men's volleyball team concluded the 2014 season with a straight-sets defeat to North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) rival Lancaster Bible College Saturday afternoon in Lancaster, Pa.

Sophomore Connor Hinman (Lethbridge, Alberta/Catholic Central) had 15 kills with six digs and hit .444, his second-best hitting performance of the year, but it wasn't enough as Keuka (9-15, 3-5 NEAC) fell by scores of 26-24, 25-22 and 25-21.

Senior Devin Lesch (San Diego, Calif./El Cajon Valley) added five kills with five blocks, sophomore Tom Campbell (Penfield, NY/Penfield) had 5 kills, 3 blocks and 2 digs and junior Ryan Kelly (Clifton Springs, NY/Midlakes) recorded 11 assists with seven digs for the Storm.

Freshman Brandon Mitu (Richmond, B.C./A.R. MacNeill) added 20 assists with three digs, sophomore Christopher Mooring (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) had eight digs and classmate Aaron Rydzynski (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg) hit .600 with four kills and one error in five attempts for the Green and Gold, the defending NEAC postseason champions.

Lesch finished the season with 87 total blocks, averaging 1.26 blocks per set, the second-highest figure in the country among division III student-athletes.

Mitch Demko had 15 kills with six digs and Alex Bahn added 11 kills with three digs for the Chargers (7-18, 5-3 NEAC).
