KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — After a scoreless first half, the Keuka College Men's Soccer team lost to nationally-ranked University of Rochester 3-0 on Saturday at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex.
Freshman Stephen Cowulich made four stops in goal for Keuka College (0-3-1).

The University of Rochester controlled possession for most of the first half, with 65% of their possession coming in Keuka's half of the field. The Yellowjackets attempted to take the lead in the fourth minute. On a long free kick from the right, the ball curled in and ended up being on frame. Stephen Cowulich made a leaping save for the Wolves and tipped the ball off the crossbar. The Keuka College defense was there to clear the ball away from danger. Later in the half, Cowulich made a diving save and scrambled to collect the loose ball to keep the game scoreless. Keuka College had attempts in the Yellowjackets' end, however they were unable to connect as the game went to halftime scoreless.
The Wolves continued to battle for possession with the Yellowjackets in the second half. The scoreless tie would be broken in the 52nd minute as a rebound was hit in for the 1-0 Rochester lead. Keuka College worked to generate a couple of chances off of long free kicks into the box, but the Rochester keeper came off his line to control the ball each time. The Yellowjackets added a goal off of a corner kick midway through the half and added a penalty kick goal in the final minute as the University of Rochester defeated Keuka College 3-0.

Up Next for Keuka College: The Green and Gold have a week off to prepare for their North Eastern Athletic Conference opener. Keuka College will begin conference play next Saturday as the Wolves travel to SUNY Cobleskill to face the Fighting Tigers. These two teams met last year in the NEAC Quarterfinals and the Fighting Tigers won the matchup in penalty kicks, ending Keuka's season.
