SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Soccer team lost their season-opening game at Skidmore College by the score of 4-1 on Friday.

The Thoroughbreds opened the scoring in the 11th minute as they headed in a throw-in for the 1-0 advantage. Skidmore added to their lead 37 seconds later as a long pass connected and was chipped over the keeper to double the lead. Skidmore added a third goal midway through the first. Overall for Keuka, the Wolves were outshot 11-3 in the frame and trailed 3-0 at the break.
The Green and Gold increased their offensive pressure with five shots in the second half. However, Skidmore would get their fourth goal in the 58th minute. In the final minutes of play, the Wolves got a corner kick. Off of the attempt, the ball found its way to the foot of Chris Millard. The senior captain hit it home for the goal, but the Wolves would fall on Friday 4-1.
- Friday was only the second meeting between Skidmore and Keuka College. The Thoroughbreds topped the Wolves 1-0 last season
- Skidmore had a 17-8 advantage in shots and 11-5 edge in corner kicks on Friday

Up Next for Keuka College: The Green and Gold conclude the weekend trip on Friday as they face the Union College Dutchmen. Like Skidmore, last season was the first meeting between the two schools with Union earning the victory over Keuka.
