Men’s Soccer Falls at Nationally-Ranked Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Soccer team lost on Wednesday to the University of Rochester by the score of 3-0.

Rochester entered the game ranked sixth in NCAA Division III. With the loss, Keuka College levels their season record at six wins and six losses.

The University of Rochester took the early lead on their home field on Wednesday night. The Yellowjackets scored 10 minutes into the game and then quickly doubled their lead 1:18 after that. Rochester would hold the Wolves without a shot in the half as they led 2-0 at the break.

Rochester added to their lead in the 68th minute, converting a penalty kick to make it 3-0. Following that, Keuka College got their lone shot of the game, but it was blocked by a Rochester defender. Keuka College thought they pulled one back in the 81st minute as Seth Spurgeon curled a ball to the upper corner, but the goal was waived off on an offsides call. The Wolves would get a late corner kick but were unable to capitalize as Keuka College lost to the University of Rochester on Wednesday.
