Three Straight Goals Fuel Keuka College Victory

ALFRED, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Soccer team overcame a two-goal deficit to come back and defeat Mount Saint Mary College 3-2 on Saturday in the Bryan Karly '86 Alumni Soccer Tournament at Alfred University.

Three different Wolves scored for Keuka College (1-3). Noah Ogden, Claude Tuyishimire, and Samba Doukhansy each scored for Keuka. Ryan Velte made four saves in goal for the win.

Keuka College 3 vs. Mt. St. Mary College 2

Mount Saint Mary controlled the play early against the Wolves on Saturday. The Knights took advantage of a Keuka College foul in the 18th minute to take a 1-0 lead. They doubled the margin with a tally in the 29th minute, making it 2-0. Keuka College responded. Following a red card by Mt. St. Mary in the 40th minute, Noah Ogden converted a penalty kick for his first career goal. The Knights would retain a 2-1 lead going into the halftime break.

Keuka College did not wait long to tie the game. Claude Tuyishimire scored in the 54th minute to level the game at 2-2. Just 34 seconds later, Jared Burns found Samba Doukhansy for the goal, giving the Wolves a 3-2 lead. The Green and Gold would hold onto the one-goal advantage on their way to the 3-2 victory.

  • The penalty kick goal was the first goal in the career of senior captain Noah Ogden. The defender played in his 56th career game on Saturday. The penalty kick was also his first career shot

Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves advance to the tournament finals where they will meet Kean University on Sunday. Kean beat the host Saxons on Saturday 8-1. It will be the first time Keuka and Kean have ever met.
