KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – The Keuka College Men's Soccer team defeated Bryn Athyn College on Saturday afternoon by the score of 5-1 in a North Eastern Athletic Conference game.
With the win, Keuka College (9-2-3, 7-1-3 NEAC) clinched a spot in the North Eastern Athletic Conference Tournament. The Wolves will continue to fight for a home game in the tournament on Sunday when they host Penn St.-Abington at 3pm.
Seniors Paulin Kolodja and Rachid Blanken each had a pair of goals in the win. Chris Millard added a goal and Mike Pastorella finished with a pair of assists. Christopher Spaulding made his first career start in goal, earning the win.
Keuka College attacked fast. Paulin Kolodja showcased his speed and passed the backline of Bryn Athyn and scored 2:22 into the game. The Wolves controlled possession for most of the half, outshooting the Lions 14-0. In the 31st minute, Mike Pastorella sent a long ball in from midfield. Chris Millard got behind the defenders and chipped the ball over the charging keeper to give Keuka College a 2-0 advantage. They would carry that lead into the halftime break.
Bryn Athyn College got on the board early in the second half, but Keuka responded. Millard ripped a shot the beat the keeper, but went off the post. The rebound found the foot of Rachid Blanken for the easy goal to re-establish the two-goal lead at 3-1. Ten minutes later, Blanken got his second of the game as he ripped a high shot over the keeper. Paulin Kolodja added a goal, assisted by Zach Briggs, as Keuka College continued on the 5-1 victory.
