Keuka College Competes at NEAC Championship

HUNTINGDON VALLEY, Pa. – The Keuka College Men's Golf team competed this weekend in the North Eastern Athletic Conference Championship at Philmont Country Club in Huntingdon Valley, Pa.

The Wolves came in seventh in the tournament with nine teams competing. As a team, Keuka College shot a 346 in Round 1 and sat in fifth place. The Wolves only shot two strokes worse in the second round, a 348, but they dropped two places on Sunday to finish in seventh with their 694.

Leading the way for Keuka College was Ryan Piersimoni. He opened the tournament with an 84 and backed that up with an 87. Piersimoni finished in a tied for 19th.

The rest of the team finished in a pack for the Green and Gold. Tom Reynolds finished in a tie for 26th with a 175 after shooting an 87 and an 88. One stroke behind him was Joseph Petrie in a tie for 30th. Petrie shot the lowest round of day two for Keuka with an 85.

Finishing one stroke behind Petrie was AJ Hranek and Rory Doremus. Each shot a 177 for the tournament and finished in a tie for 32nd.

Keuka College has one final tournament this season. The Wolves will tee it up on Tuesday in the Elmira College Spring Invitational.
