CANANJOHARIE, N.Y. – Keuka College junior Rory Doremus shot a career-low 79 on Friday at the Mid-Atlantic Classic. The tournament was hosted by SUNY Cobleskill at the Cananjoharie Country Club.

Doremus broke his previous career-best by seven strokes as he finished in a tie for second place. It was the first top-five finish for Doremus in his career.

As a team, Keuka College finished third in the four-team field, just three strokes behind Morrisville State for second place. The +53, 337 is the best team scored entered by Keuka College this season.

Ryan Piersimoni finished second on the team for Keuka with an 82, his low round of the year. AJ Hranek also set a year-low scored with an 85. Luke Labuski shot an 91 for the Wolves Adam Tuttle improved in his second collegiate outing with a 101.

The Wolves now focus on the North Eastern Athletic Conference Championships. Keuka College will complete in the conference tournament at Philmont Country Club next weekend. The two-day tournament, hosted by Bryn Athyn College, begins on April 22.
