The Keuka College men's golf team logged a seventh-place finish during Thursday's annual Keuka College Fall Invitational.
For the second straight competition, sophomore Harrison Sardella (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) finished as medalist for the Wolfpack, placing 27th after shooting an 85 on the par-72, 6,549-yard Lakeside Country Club course in nearby Penn Yan, N.Y.
The Green and Gold finished with a team score of 347 to place seventh. The competition drew 38 golfers from seven schools.
SUNY Delhi's "A" team captured the team title with a score of 309, edging runners-up Elmira College and Oswego State by three strokes.
SUNY Delhi's "B" team was fourth with a score of 314, followed by Penn College (319), Morrisville State (330) and Keuka.
Elmira's Evan Clarke shot an even-par 72 to win the overall medalist. Clarke edged SUNY Delhi's Cody Homer by one stroke for the individual title.
The Green and Gold's top five student-athletes finished six strokes apart on the leaderboard.
Sophomore Joseph Petrie (Sanborn, N.Y./Starpoint) placed 28th after carding an 86. Freshman Ryan Piersimoni (Horseheads, N.Y./Horseheads) finished 29th with a round of 87, followed by freshman Michael Parrow (Waterloo, N.Y./Waterloo), who tied for 32nd with an 89.
Freshman Rory Doremus (Ilion, N.Y./Notre Dame) rounded out the Wolfpack's top five finishers, placing 35th with a score of 91.
The Keuka College Invite concluded the fall portion of the schedule for the Green and Gold. They will resume their season in the spring.
