The Keuka College men's golf team logged a sixth-place finish during Tuesday's annual Elmira College Fall Invitational.
Sophomore Harrison Sardella (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) finished as medalist for the Green and Gold, tying for 18th place after shooting an 86 on the par-72, 6,687-yard Elmira Country Club course in Elmira, N.Y.
The Green and Gold finished with a team score of 367.
Host Elmira College shot a collective 321 to edge SUNY Delhi by four strokes for the overall team title. Oswego State (326) was third, followed by SUNY Canton (344), Hobart College (352), Keuka College, Elmira College's "B" team (371) and SUNY ESF (391). SUNY Delhi's "B" squad did not have enough golfers to qualify for the team competition.
Elmira's Jarryd ten Vaanholt won the overall medalist with a four-over round of 72.
Freshman Ryan Piersimoni (Horseheads, N.Y./Horseheads) finished in a tie for 20th with a round of 87.
Freshman Rory Doremus (Ilion, N.Y./Notre Dame) rounded out Keuka's top five finishers, placing 40th with a score of 103.
The Green and Gold close out the fall portion of the season with the annual Keuka College Fall Invitational, Thursday morning at the Lakeside Country Club in Penn Yan, N.Y.
