Freshman Ryan Piersimoni (Horseheads, N.Y./Horseheads) finished as medalist for the Keuka College men's golf team for the second straight competition as Keuka placed ninth during Monday's annual Oswego State Invitational.
Piersimoni carded a round of 85 to tie for 32nd on the par-71, 6,424-yard Oswego Country Club in Oswego, N.Y., as the Wolfpack shot 359 as a team.
Conor Talty (SUNY Potsdam) won the overall medalist honors after firing a one-over 72, edging out Evan Clarke (Elmira College) and Dan North (Oswego State) by one stroke for medalist.
SUNY Delhi won the team title after shooting a 299. Oswego State and Potsdam tied for second (310), followed by Elmira (315), Oswego State's "B" team (318), SUNY Canton (321), Hobart (324), Morrisville State (337), Keuka College and SUNY ESF (360).
After Piersimoni, sophomore Harrison Sardella (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) tied for 37th out of 55 golfers with a round of 87.
Sophomore Joe Petrie (Sanborn, N.Y./Buffalo State) carded a 92 to place 48th, freshman Michael Parrow (Waterloo, N.Y./Waterloo) shot a 95 to place 51st, and freshman Tyler Brock (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) recorded a 96 to tie for 52nd place.
The Green and Gold return to action Tuesday, competing in the Elmira College Fall Invitational in Elmira, N.Y., before closing out the fall portion of the season with the annual Keuka College Fall Invitational, Sept. 25 at the Lakeside Country Club in Penn Yan, N.Y.
