The Keuka College men's golf team traveled to Cobleskill, N.Y. for the annual SUNY Cobleskill Spring Invitational, and the Storm placed fifth at the event, held at the Canajoharie Country Club.
Freshman Harrison Sardella (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) led the Storm with a score of 89, good for a tie for 13th place on the par-71, 6,146-yard course as the Storm scored 378 as a team. It was his third straight competition finishing as the Storm's top golfer.
Host Cobleskill's "A" team carded a team score of 305 to win, followed by Cobleskill's "B" team (341), Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (361), Morrisville State (367) and the Storm.
Cobleskill's Don Cervantes carded a two-over par round of 73 to edge teammates Travis Deuel (75) and Ryan Whitaker (76) for the individual title. Twenty seven golfers from five schools competed in the invitational.
Senior Sam Massaro (Dexter, NY/General Brown) placed 15th with a round of 92, followed by senior Zach Terpolilli (Penn Yan, NY/Penn Yan), who carded a 94.
Sophomore Ben Schreiber (Hilton, NY/Hilton) placed 23rd while junior Aaron Arnold (Erin, NY/Spencer-Van Etten) was 25th and senior Nate Schreiber (Hilton, NY/Hilton) placed 27th for the Green and Gold.
