The Cavaliers got out to a fast start on Saturday, scoring the first 13 points of the game. Matthew Ciezki got the Wolves on the board 4:10 into the game. Keuka College would attempt to cut into the lead, but Cabrini kept the score at a comfortable margin throughout the first half. The Cavaliers held a 47-39 lead at the half.

Cabrini maintained their lead throughout the second. Every time Keuka attempted to cut into the lead, the Cavaliers responded. In the final minutes of the game, the Green and Gold shrank the margin to two following a pair of James Barnes free throws. At the other end of the floor, Cabrini only made one of two free throws to keep it at a one possession game, 86-83. The next trip down, however, the Wolves had the ball stolen, resulting in a layup as Cabrini rebuilt their lead. It would be as close as Keuka would make it as the Wolves lost to Cabrini 95-86.

  • Saturday was the first ever meeting in men's basketball between the two schools
  • Starting the 35th season in program history, Keuka College now has a 13-22 record in their season opener
