COBLESKILL, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Basketball team earned a 63-60 North Eastern Athletic Conference victory at SUNY Cobleskill on Saturday Afternoon.
Keuka College (5-5, 3-1 NEAC) had three players score in double figures. The Wolves were once again led by Ryder Mansfield with 17 points. The junior also had six rebounds for the Wolves. Guard Greg Tyler had 15 points and seven rebounds. Trevor Powell finished with 10 points and seven rebounds in the win for Keuka.
Keuka College 63 at SUNY Cobleskill 60
The offense ran through Trevor Powell in the opening minutes for the Wolves. Powell assisted on three of the first five baskets for Keuka College, ending with a Cliff Stevens layup to give Keuka College a 12-11 lead. The game would be tightly played throughout the first half. Keuka College would create some separation towards the end of the half. Greg Tyler was 3-3 from three-point range and 5-5 from the field for 15 points in the first half. Also perfect from the floor in the half was Ryder Mansfield. The junior was 4-4 for 10 points in the frame. Keuka College closed the half with a jumper at the buzzer by Matt Estes as the Wolves led 34-27 at the half.
The Wolves remained ahead in the second half. The two teams traded baskets for most of the half. The Green and Gold put together six unanswered points, capped by a Ryder Mansfield jumper with 3:34 left to play. That basket gave Keuka College a 58-48 lead over the Fighting Tigers. However, that would be Keuka College's last field goal of the game. SUNY Cobleskill worked the lead down to two points in the final minute, but Keuka College made their free throws to hold onto the 63-60 NEAC victory.
