KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – The Keuka College Men's Basketball team fell to SUNY Poly in a North Eastern Athletic Conference game on Saturday by the score of 86-68.
The Wolves (1-10, 1-5 NEAC) will host SUNY Cobleskill on Sunday at the JMW Recreation and Athletics Center.
Keuka College was led by freshman Cameron Winston with 16 points on Saturday. Sophomores Trevor Powell and Jelani Fontanez each added 15 in the loss. Powell also finished with a game-high seven rebounds.
As the two teams settled into Saturday's game, SUNY Poly had the early lead. A pair of driving layups by Jelani Fontanez drew the margin to one-point, 8-7, but the Wildcats answered with a pair of three pointers. SUNY Poly built their lead with an 17-2 run in the half. The Wildcats led 47-23 at the break.
Both teams came out of halftime hot, scoring a combined 16 points in the opening three minutes of action. SUNY Poly maintained their 20 point margin for most of the half. Off the bench for Keuka, Matt Estes scored seven in the second half. Also scoring from the bench was Thomas O'Driscoll, Davon McClain, Sean Kelly, and Dekhari Stewart as Keuka College combined for 18 bench points in the frame. Overall, Keuka College outscored SUNY Poly 45-39 in the second, but it was not enough as the Wolves fell to the Wildcats 86-68.
