Wolves Earn First Win of Season

ALBANY, N.Y. — The Keuka College Field Hockey team earned their first win of the season on Saturday, winning at Sage Colleges 4-3.

Four different Wolves scored for Keuka College (1-6) on Saturday.

The host Gators took the 1-0 lead, but the Wolves leveled the game in the first quarter. Alysa Maddaleno fed Nicole Wilson who beat the keeper to the left corner to tie the game.

Keuka College took the lead in the second as the Green and Gold got goals from Alyssa Muszak and the first collegiate goal for Vanessa Wilkins. Sage got a goal back but Keuka College led 3-2 at the half.

The Wolves extended the lead to 4-2 off of a corner in the third quarter. Vanessa Wilkins and Laura Ramsey got the assists on the goal by Alysa Maddaleno.

Sage added a late goal in the fourth quarter, but the Wolves hung on for the 4-3 victory.

Up Next for Keuka College: The Green and Gold return home on Tuesday night. Keuka College hosts Elmira College under the lights at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex. The Wolves and the Soaring Eagles are slated for a 7pm start.
