LA PLUME, Pa. — The Keuka College Field Hockey team lost on Sunday to hosts Keystone College by the score of 3-0 in a non-conference game.

Each team had an attempted off a penalty corner in the opening quarter, but neither team broke through as the game remained scoreless following the first 15 minutes.
The Wolves had a pair of shots and a penalty corner to start the second quarter. However, against the run of play, Keystone broke down on goal. Valentine made the first save but Keystone hit in the rebound to take a 1-0 lead. Keuka College had a late corner opportunity, but they Wolves were unable to get a shot off as the game went to halftime with Keystone leading 1-0.
Keystone had the first opportunity of the third, but did not convert. Midway through the quarter, freshman Vanessa Wilkins had three shots in quick succession. Her first two were saved and third went wide of goal. Keuka earned three more corner attempts but was still unable to score. The Wolves best opportunity came in the final minute as a shot by Taylor Lessard beat the keeper, but was cleared off the line for a defensive save.
Despite Keuka continuing to attack, it would be Keystone who came away with the goals. The Giants scored a pair in the fourth quarter as they would defeat Keuka College 3-0 on Saturday.

Up Next for Keuka College: Keuka's busy start to the season continues this week. The Wolves are midway through a stretch of four games in five days. Following the off day on Monday, Keuka will travel to the College at Brockport on Tuesday to face the Golden Eagles. The Wolves will then host Houghton College on Wednesday at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex.
